Strange issue with Volume 2

So I picked up Volume 2 tonight because I saw it, along with a few others in a dump bin in a grocery store for the insanely low price of 59 cents! o_O

Anywho, I open up Bizarre and notice weird markings on the disc. Nothing like scratches or anything, just what looks like smudges, yet they're underneath the coating of the disc.

I have an old PlayStation game with similar markings(Lunar Silver Star Story) yet it played perfect. Bizarre, was making strange sounds when I popped it into my player. Not wanting to mess up my player, I stopped and made a backup. It seemed to convert over just fine, no "CRC errors" or anything.

Did anyone else get a copy in similar shape?

And no, they're not one of those "Previously viewed" deals either. It was marked down from ten bucks. Sadly, they didn't have any other volumes. :(
