Shown unedited on syndicated television

Ah, to be a teenager during the mid 80's and see this show unedited on local TV (prior to our city getting cable). I'm not sure why it was picked up and I don't know why it was shown unedited, but to see nudity on TV was unlike anything I had seen on TV at the time.

When Bizarre was on regular TV at 11:30, I was in 6th-8th grade. I used to stay up almost every night and sneak watch it. I was lucky enough to have a tv in my room that had a direct headphone jack on it, so I was able to keep the noise to nothing.

Oh, MAN was this show great.

Every now and then, the local station would do mini-marathon showings on a weekend night. And it was 100% unedited. Think Comedy Central's Secret Stash with boobs on the screen.

I watched it so much, to this day I still have the disclaimer etched into my brain.

Unedited TV in the 80's ruled. Shortly after this (around 1985 or 86), prior to having cable, I was watching TV with my mom in the kitchen. I get up to turn the channel (no remote), and all of a sudden I see these bouncing tits as some girl was having sex. The movie playing was Just Before Dawn http://imdb.com/title/tt0082592/ It was some sort of Texas massacre ripoff, but it was pretty good, though.

This showed on WWOR tv channel 9 which was out of Seacucus NJ, but played in NY. I was a big Benny Hill fan, but I never was able to stay up late enough to see this. I assumed everyone was lying or over exaggerating about the nudity, but I see now they were all telling the truth.

This was on WUTV in Buffalo at 11:00 at night back in the 80's. Benny Hill was on at 10, Dave Allen at Large was on at 10:30, then Bizarre at 11. They only showed the edited version though. I've never seen the unedited versions of this show.

I'm from the US so it was not only edited but often replaced with laugh-track less footage of filmed stuff like a faux Jack Nickluas or EBS test act. Dave Osborne (Bob Einstein), when HE got bicycle horn bleeped, was ALWAYS bleeps as part of the act..."I hope they don't censor THAT...nothing wrong with biting the (act)'s Indian's TOES off"...
