what footage is often cut from cantonese prints?


i have the full film, yet i wonder what 13 minutes were only in mandarin before pan media released the full cantonese audio?

I'm pretty sure the scenes were just extended scenes with a bit more dialogue. I don't remember all the scenes right now but IIRC:

- The scene where the guy Fei Hong first fights is extended. The guy breaks a peddler's jade pendant and refuses to pay for it so Fei Hong beats him up and empties the guy's pockets and gives the money back to the street merchant.

- The scene where Fei Hong fights his aunt on the street is also extended I think.

- The scene where the corrupt boss leader wants to convince Wong Kei-Ying to allow them to dig for coal is also extended.

If you can find the Mei Ah dvd version, you can watch the extra scenes when the flask icon appears on the top of the screen.
