Wouldn't this movie make a great remake...

They are remaking everything these days, and while Red dawn and The Warriors will probably be big budget reimaginings...This is one remake that can't disappoint. Practically no one knows it, you can't find it anywhere VHS or DVD, and it has an extremely deep reservoir of dialogue to draw from.

I just think that since it is such a sleeper it could come from no where, it was a great movie, but it had a few wholes alternate ways it could have went with it, and just when I was watching this I came up with ideas to tweak it for the better.

Who would you have star...I say Matthew McConaughey, I have faith he still has that acting talent he exhibited in Reign of Fire, and he is the perfect match, Gortner has an almost identical personality and collection of manerisms.

Idk, this could be a movie that becomes a a phenomenon like Pulp Fiction if it is reintroduced...you cant modernize it but you could show it to a whole new generation.

Matthew McConaughey would be great! (I even got to work-with-Him , once) , but if "Big-Budget" Hollywood-Types were-involved , "They" would find Some Way to mess-It-up.

ALBINO ALLIGATOR, directed by Kevin Spacey is pretty much a remake of this film or at least employs a heck of a lot of the same elements that make this film such a masterpiece. Unfortunately Spaceys film pales in comparison.

This film doesn't need a remake; it's fine the way it is.

I'm a totally bitchin' bio writer from Mars!

Since the original movie's based on a play, and nobody know about the movie these days, I say that it could be done, and with the actor that you mentioned. And yes, it can be modernized to the present day (have it be set in the present day, early 2010's, after the both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and have the antagonist be a veteran of either war [he'll have to be younger than Matthew McConaughey, as he's 44 years old.])
