A fun movie to re-discover

I haven't seen this movie in over 20 years, and finding it by accident on DVD at a local retailer brought a smile to my face. It was a temptation I couldn't resist, and luckily the price wasn't high because it was a used copy. I just hoped I could still enjoy it after all these years. I'm happy to say the movie is still a lot of fun! It gets a little cheesy here and there, but that's not hard to overlook when the movie offers so many enjoyable escapades. "Van Nuys Blvd." is also a great time capsule for the late 70's.

I agree. This film is a total blast to watch. Granted, it ain't got much of a plot, but there's a really groovy and carefree 70's vibe to it that's both charming and entertaining in equal measure.

I put it on not expecting much and was really surprised. It is not the typical crappy Crown International Picture release. It had alot of heart and was a blast to watch.

Indeed. I set my expectations low, as I always do with Crown International Pictures, and I was pleasantly entertained. What this film lacks in plot and performances it more than makes up for in attitude and atmosphere. I thought the cinematography was surprisingly strong, with great views out on the boulevard (where they take it hard).
