Great tv movie but.....*potentially a slight spoiler*

...I've always thought the Vampire would have been more convincing if there was even one scene in which he had some fangs. This is more of an acting driven rather than effects driven film, and I'm good with that, but they should have had at least one flash of fangs. What's the Vampire going to do, chew his way through their necks with normal canines? Still I gave this film a 7, it's a great little tv flick that chilled me as a kid.

In John Badham's 'Dracula', also 1979, Frank Langella refused to wear fangs. He'd been lauded on Broadway, for the same role.

Film vampires didn't have fangs until the early 1950s. . . unless you consider Nosferatu which was more like rat teeth.

Bad TV movie. Timid. Unsatisfying. Would have been much better if it'd been made 5 years earlier or 5 years later.

As it was, it was produced right in the middle of a major clampdown on TV violence.
