I had the book of the film when I was a kid and loved it (read it several times), the book had photos from the film in it so I have lots of vivid memories of the film but I don't think I've actually ever seen it!!!

You forget all the things, you just do it!

Given that special effects have come a LOOOOONNG way from what they were in 1979, it is kinda bad.
I bought a VHS version when I was working at a video/t-shirt/stuff type store (I forget the name of the place) a few years back(2000).

I'm still trying to figure out the name of the movie with a green monkey! Late 70s/early 80s.

Maybe you are thinking you are thinking of Earthbound from the very early 80's.

Thanks! I'll check it out.

One thing I remember from this film is that there is an old knight named "Sir Winston" who looks and acts like Winston Churchill and in the battle scenes, he makes comments like the real Churchill did, "never have so many owed so much to so few" or something like.

And a weird sequence where knights fall down tumbling against each other in sequence like dominoes during a battle. Was actually funny in a way.

The English girl who falls for the Yankee was also pretty and cute.

But it sucks that here, King Arthur is pathetic and Merlin is a bad guy.

And to think that I thought I myself was the only person who would remember this movie! :D LOL!

I haven't even seen the trailer spot for it since it was released way back then, but I still have the beginning of it's jingle-like theme stuck in my head after all these years! (^_^)
