A sequel to Zombie (Dawn of the Dead)?

Seems like more of a prequel really, since when it starts the zombie apocalypse hasn't started yet, but by the end of the movie they are in the middle of a worldwide outbreak, it seems.

Or maybe it's just a case of an Italian company slapping a sequel title on a film that's unrelated just for marketing purposes, like they sometimes do.

You’re exactly correct on the second part. Dawn is Zombi, so, fuck it, this is Zombi 2.

I don't think romero was happy but I'm sure I read it was the same case for Fulci. I read he was brought in but didn't know what the distributors where planning to call it
