That menuboard was almost unrecognizable.

I remember paying 99 cents for a Big Mac back then. They tasted way better, too!

If you think that's something, Google an image of a 1950s McDonald's menu. Hamburgers-15 cents, fries-19 cents, sodas-10 cents, coffee-10 cents, shakes-20 cents. However, the most amazing thing about that menu is that there were only eleven items on it. I remember paying those prices.

Feed a family of five for under five dollars! Of course, that was assuming the kids got regular hamburgers or cheeseburgers, people shared fries and there was no such thing as Supersizing. In the Autumn of '80, I could get either a cheeseburger and fries or cheeseburger and small Coke for $1.05 (5% tax) my first year in college.

Yeah, but did you happen to notice the price of those TVs? $440, which is about $1500 today, for what looks like a 19" TV. You can find those Tvs now for free in your neighbors' trash or $10 at most at the local thrift store.

I love the McDonald's scene! I grew up in the early 70s so it was great seeing the classic restaurant setting and prices, especially the original Big Mac packages. Talk about nostalgia!
