The real hottie in Tess

Arielle Dombasle who played Mercy. Hubba Hubba!

I take it you have not seen her recently.I always thought that French women had the sense to stay away from plastic surgeons. Apparently, in this case, I was wrong.

Don't forget Suzanna Hamilton, who plays Izz. Suzanna played Julia in Radford's "1984" a few years later. Two-thirds of her screentime she's starkers! Mind you, her grooming might not favor the depilated generation, but I just loves me an English girl with a big bush!

Have you seen her lately ? She was never a beauty but the years have not been kind and in her case I do not think bad plastic surgery is to blame.

I agree, Arielle Dombasle was quite the beauty in her younger years, but that wasn't much in evidence in 'Tess.' What she let a plastic surgeon do to her is most unfortunate. (Nicole Kidman, take note!) I would think a beautiful woman would prefer to age gracefully rather than be sliced and diced into a caricature of herself.....
As for Suzanna Hamilton, although she has never been especially beautiful, there was something about her that was very appealing. She definitely looks better NOW than Arielle Dombasle does. I think Suzanna looks well for her age. Nastassja Kinski....not so much. I don't know that she had plastic surgery, but in recent photos, her face looks kind of hard, as though she's been a hard drinker or did a bit too much coke in her time. (Just my opinion.)
I won't comment on the "big English bush" post except to say it did give me a slightly horrified giggle.

I'm guessing that even if she never had a cigarette herself, she's been in so many smoke filled rooms that she's consumed the equivalent of a half pack a day for a good park of her youth. I'm also guessing that coke was on the menu ALL THE TIME for her as a hot young starlet in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Plus she was probably a regular drinker from an early age.

The real miracle here is that she isn't dead or worse looking than Mackenzie Phillips.

The problem is that Arielle was in the movie for all 20 seconds.
