very good movie

7/10

When there's no more room in hell, The dead will walk the earth...

Yes, I gave it a 7/10 also. The slow, dragging pacing of the film works against it, and the dramatic scenes are episodic, without a unifying hand to link them all together. A better Hollywood director could have easily done it. This film has a lot of great ideas, good casting (the actor who portrayed Tesla looked exactly like him!) with outstanding character parts by Orson Welles, Strother Martin, Dennis Patrick, and others. The music score is mostly terrible and irritating, and only occasionally offers the proper underscore to each scene. This was a worthy effort, and not wasted. I could tell the European filmmakers were trying hard to make the film like an American Hollywood film, but with their own unique European points of view. And such a worthy subject! I'm sure they didn't have to beg Orson Welles to appear in it, enamored as he was by European cinema, and the subject matter. If only he had directed it! I enjoyed it in spite of its flaws!

Just horrid. Tesla deserves a good movie about him.
