DVD?!?!

Come on, execs at Paramount, why won't you release this on DVD? It's got Burt Reynolds, Jill Clayburgh and Candice Bergen, three of Hollywood's greatest stars. It's directed, written and produced by two of Hollywood's great genius-artists, Alan J. Pakula and James L. Brooks. It was a box office hit in 1979 and was a multi-Oscar and Golden Globe nominee. You have released lesser and unsubstantial movies before a classic like this one, and that thoroughly perplexes.

Get with it, this is a classic!!

You got your wish. Just checked out the DVD from the library. I had never heard of it, but I like to watch an old 70's movie every once in a while so I can laugh at the old clothes and stuff. Pretty good movie actually.

Hey Les, do you have a minute? For you Brad, I"ve got five.

I also checked out the film "Starting Over" on DVD from my library. No extra features whatsoever on this release, alas. Nevertheless, it's a good movie, very well written and acted by all concerned.

I saw it when it came out only cause I loved Begen and Clayburgh and I lived in a suburb of Boston (where the movie takes place). I thought it was OK but I was too young to appreciate it fully (I was 16). Saw it again last night (and got mine from the library also) and I LOVED it! I understood why it was so acclaimed when it came out and I can relate to the characters now that I'm older. No classic but a good adult film.
