The John Morganson character

I thought for sure this role would turn out to have been filled by a real NBA player (the Boston Celtics were famous for having a plethora of white guys on their team well into the 1980's). The person playing the role was too tall, too muscular (see last scene in movie), too young (to possibly have any interest in a 35-year-old dame), and too wooden in acting to be anything else but a jock slumming in a movie (because the producers/director were big fans of his team/sport).

And yet . . . . Sturgis Warner appears to have never stepped on a basketball court. Strictly a theater guy. Go figure.
