The Men's Support Group

I love this movie and I enjoyed the main story of the romantic triangle between Clayburgh, Reynolds, and Bergen, but I have to mention that I also found the scenes with Phil at his Divorced Men's Support group very amusing as well with effective work from vets like Austin Pendleton, Jay O. Saunders, and Reynolds' long time co-star Alfie Wise. Check out these scenes the next time you watch the film...they are extremely well-written and performed.

The support group scenes were very well written and acted, a good mixture of humor and pathos. I especially loved when the men's support group invites members of the women's support group over to mingle!

While I watched this, I couldn't help but wonder if these same type of groups exist today. I suspect that now, guys like these would be more likely to be in individual counseling and taking meds, but maybe groups like this are still around. Anyone have any insight?

When the divorced men and women collide on the stairs! Hilarious!
