Please help me expand this list:

Tarkovsky:

Solaris
Sacrifice
Nostalghia

Parajanov:
Sayat Nova

Tati:
Play Time
Mon Oncle

Tarr:
Satantango
Karhozat

Kwaidan

More Tarkovsky:
Andrei Rublev (arguably his best film)

Terrence Malick:
Days of Heaven
Badlands
The Thin Red Line

John Hillcoat:
The Proposition

Robert Altman (naturalist elements)

German Expressionism as a whole. While not beautiful in the sense of directors like Tarkovsky or Malick, it invokes a certain emotional response associated with these two directors. I recommend The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Metropolis, and Nosferatu.
