Was I the only one watching this last night?

It was shown unscheduled on TCM and I just happened to be up and it was on. I thought, "OK, I know a lot of obscure movies and can usually figure out what something is right away" but this one eluded me. The only thing that really stood out to me was a score that sounded very "Pino Donaggio" (it wasn't). Finally found it by pecking around a bit on-line today. I didn't watch it all so who knows if it's any good, I just wondered what it was, as I couldn't place it. Also, it just suddenly made me wonder if I was the only person in the world watching it last night (1/7/11), ha ha. Took me back to my youth watching rubbish movies like this on Showtime at 3 in the morning simply because I was awake, they were on, and rated R.

I DVDr'd the title. I was under the impression the film was the Canadian sexploitation, Snapshot aka The Sweetest Sound as ATT channel guide said.
After a few minutes, it dawned on me. this was not the film advertised, but an obscure thriller called The Day After Halloween I rented a long time ago. Egad!

No, Tony, you weren't alone. I watched it too, all the way through. What a stinker! One of the most WTF endings I've ever seen.

I need my 1987 DG20 Casio electric guitar set to mandolin, yeah...

I just finished watching it on my DVR, Tony. It wasn't too bad, actually. I thought it was strange that the plot was completely different from what was listed!

I totally understand your reference to watching late night movies on cable 'cause they're "R." And you have to wonder who else is tuning in to this schlock.

Anyway, movie wasn't great, but the twist ending was kinda cool, and not as lame as another reply stated. It seems to be the type of movie where every character is despicable in their own way... The lead actress was cute, and did a nice job.

I gave it 5 out of 10 stars.

He was on Planet Earth the whole time!

I agree, the twist ending was kind of cool! I found it odd that she had so many stalker psychos in her life though, even her mom was nuts!
This movie wasn't fantastic of course, but it was much better than people here have described it.
The film keeps you guessing, and the 2 lead actresses act well & are beautiful.
