It is unbelievable to me that with all the stars in this movie, that they don't release this on DVD! Why not? Anybody know the reason?

I have a guess. It mostly likely to do with music rights. Way back in the 70's, when these films were being made, no one could have imagined that people would be watching these movies in their homes. The music in this film was licensed solely for the use in the motion picture. Once you transfer the movie to a new medium (VHS or DVD) you have to re-purchase the music rights. This movie easily has 30 disco hits from various labels. Repurchasing this music would be very expensive and would most likely cost more than the studio who owns the rights could hope to recoup from a video release. It sucks but that the economics of the business.

Sounds reasonable, I watched it last night. They had disco, plus Cheap Trick and Michael Jackson.

Another reason why it's not on DVD is most likely because this movie's crap.

It has been my observation that movies featuring a lot of stars tend to be pretty poor movies and seem to rely on those stars for box office draw. And that plan usually works out like this movie...

just sayin'
