When I fist saw a clip of this movie, I was blown away by the beauty of Katja Bienert/Katja Caroll. Imagine my surprise when I looked her up on IMDB to find out she was born in September, 1966 which means she was 12 when she made this movie which had a release date of July, 1979. Is this correct? Did her appearance cause the same controversy in Germany as 12 year old Brooke Shields' appearance in Pretty Baby?
shareAt the time strangely enough it didn't. She was actually marketed fairly shamelessly as a Lolita type at the time with lots of sordid films and pictorials in magazines. In the 70s/80s child pornography was not at all an issue and even sex with minors was trated shockingly lenient by the courts. Apparantly in the Nertherlands even hard core fare with children was legal at the time.

She also said she was posting nude for photographers before she made this film. No one knew her age and didn’t ask. They assumed she was much older.
