I love the creepiness of the villains

The crouching ninjas with long "fingernails", the weird ceremonial robes and the Count's bizarre headdress were like something out of a nightmare. I loved them.

I agree. They aren't particulary sinister villains, but the voice overs are what make them so convincing.

The way those crouching ninjas shuffled around... creepy. Just creepy.

They creeped me out too with their long arms and claws

I enjoyed the creepiness of the villains. Also the castle setting is good. Menacing Gothic feel to some of the movie.

Reminded me a bit of the pirate goons from Outlaw Star. I'd say they were heavily influenced by Castle of Cagliostro.

Can't stop the signal.
