This film definitely deserves a Blu-ray release in the United States. It's one of my all-time favorites and it would look absolutely spectacular in high-definition. Some additional special features and perhaps even a commentary would be glorious.

shareDiscotek Media announced on Wednesday (my birthday nonetheless!) that they will release Cagliostro on DVD in August and Blu-ray by the end of the year or early next year. It will feature both the Streamline and Manga dubs, a commentary by Reed Nelson and will include the original intro sequence. Very nice!
shareIf you can't wait until August, then you can import the Blu-ray from Europe (providing you have a region-free player) - it's also available in Japan and Oceania.
