Has anyone ever notice the similarities RUDOLPH AND FROSTY has with Tolkien's LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy? Winterbolt in many ways is a dead wringer for Saruman the fallen Wizard, right down to the magic staff (or as in Winterbolt's case, ice sceptre), and Lady Arboria is likewise similar to Galadriel (with whom she share of that character's fatalistic philosophy - "Nothing lasts forever").

You do know that they did an animated "Hobbit" film in 1977, and a "Return of the King" in 1980? This falls between those, although this was probably being filmed at the same time as "Return."
