You are everything I always wanted

Does anyone know if that song "you are everything I always wanted" is an actual real song borrowed for the movie? I might be wrong but I think I may have a vague memory of having heard it on the radio long ago, although it could be entirely the other way around, the radio might have been playing a professionally done version of the movies song. Still, I am curious if anyone knows for sure.
