The style of this film looks familiar. The plot sounds familiar. Even the English translation of the title, The King and the Mockingbird sounds familiar. Maybe I have seen an English version of the finished version and forgot about it when I grew older.

An unfinished version of this film was released earlier and made its way to the US under the name of "The Curious Adventures of Mr. Wonderbird".

I only heard of it recently but in talking about an English dub of the 1979 cut. I must have seen it on Disney Channel. I also heard recently in Jerry Beck's book Animation Art about another dub using American actors.
