One not yet remade by Hollywood

As much as I would hate to see the old bastards to ruin yet another great title, I wouldn't mind seeing an update to the classic to bring its child friendly surrealism to the modern audience.

The depravity, or simple shock, I think is now reached by various animated TV shows thanks to many producers that kept on pushing that line, but I think this classic still represents a level of depth that is not reached by these modern anti-cultural shows.

The modern parallels of people "disappearing" to unknown faiths is quite real, as is the lack of personal knowledge of the people in power (be it at any pinnacle, corporal or government), other than their cult of personality.

Furthermore, the willingness of so many power brokers to cling to their power as much as the King did is again something that truly seems to resonate. It's not until everything is in ruins that the faults in their ways are brought to become the points of ominous revelations.
