A really good sequel to the first Rocky but is missing the freshness

I personally like Rocky lll more than Rocky ll personally just because the music and the antagonist was a lot better and more iconic. I mean you got Mr. T and Eye Of The Tiger, that's pretty badass. I thought Rocky ll was a pretty good sequel to the first movie with great performances from Burgess Meredith and Carl Weathers. Apollo Creed was a straight up *beep* in this movie but that's mainly because he felt embarrassed with how the last boxing match ended and wanted Rocky to fight him again. I love that they become friends in the third movie. A great scene from this movie is when Mickey is testing Rockys vision and ends up hitting him across the face, Stallone's reaction there was really good, along with Adrian telling Rocky to win with the bell sound kicking in and Mickeys reaction. That gave me chills. Mickey throwing his beer at the tv, I'm sorry but I laughed my ass off when I saw that.

Overall I think Rocky ll is a really good sequel but I prefer the third movie for personal reasons. You guys should check out the movie marathon I did with Rocky 1,2,3 and Dragon The Bruce Lee Story titled When A Man Fights To Prove Himself. You can check it out on my blog.

those are all great points, they sure got an outstanding legendary actor to appear in these sequels. right off i recognised the trademark soundtrack by bill conti. with him going a second time against apollo it's like a repeat of the first one, what were they thinking, otherwise it's mostly rocky and adrian drifting through the movie and not much seem to happen, i just realised i only remember about one scene from this while i know the other sequels better. strange camera shot when mickey is leaving the church, a shot of his back walking. the first movie had a special feel about it with a down on his luck guy struggling to get by, i don't even know what this sequel was about. i don't care what the critics say, the latest movies are stronger since they deal with rocky having lived a long life and has had to deal with losses of people as well as his glory days behind him, and the third movie beats this because it's different since it contains much entertainment, 3 and 4 pretty much turns the series to freak show, but that works with the third on entertainment but the fourth is just cold. shame they lost burgess meredith after the third movie, he's always part of the strongest scenes in this franchise, i forgot he returned in a dream/memory in rocky 5 as a ghost in the dusty old building making probably the strongest scene of the series while in the most bottom rated movie.

without my soul sister i'm lost,
no one the same playful way cant find this path alone,
i'm old now and without her magic connect,
in the evening used to her all days,
now im scared of the night and feel myself slipping away,
my guide and angel i already miss her,
when nobody else listened,
read my soul knew what i needed,
heart died as i had to say goodbye to my soul sister.
