The man in the yellow tracksuit rocks!

The scene in the record shop where the guy in the yellow tracksuit skips forward and pulls off one of the most original dances I have ever seen is just amazing.

It caught me totally by surprise so I had to rewind it a coupla times to believe what I had just seen!

Its almost like the way people would pop to old skool Hip Hop.

"... a-a-and what if we're wrong and that is MacReady out there???"
"THEN WE'RE WRONG"

So tru and I do believe that Hip - hops "Braggin and boasting" came directly from the chanting upon the mic the Dread Dj's did back then. Reggae may have been hip - hops "father" seen? Just a thought .....

Hip Hop had it's roots in Reggae sure enough,Back in the 70's A Jamaican guy named D.J cool Hurc, started spinnin soul and funk records on his dads Reggae sound system in New York, Also around 77 Dillinger release a kinda Rap? tune called "cocaine in my brain" complete with an improvised New York accent, which was a version of The peoples choice's "Do it any way you wanna do it". After that? well the rest is History.

EVERYTHING Hip-Hop,already happened and is still happenning with Reggae/dancehall.Those are the roots. And I'm not sure but I think that is Dillenger who is dancing in that scene.

Yeah man, I agree. But don't forget when Horsemouth goes to Jack Ruby's dance those two guys dancing next to the DJ booth! real rude boys!!!

reply

Even better than that- Horsemouth's dance at the soul club when Dirty Harry is in the booth- now that was some smooth dancing, as I would say!
