Was the idea of doing a re-make dropped?

I can't find anything about it...so I guess it won't happen, which is a good and a bad thing.

its a good thing because there is only one ramone left, marky, unless they do it with another band but ot wouldent feel right ya know?

reply

Well I think a re-make could've made teenagers search for the original movie.

As for a new band, I think The Donnas or The Strokes could've pulled it off, still The Ramones are a better band.

Usually I am not ok with remakes. This movie didn't get as much popularity. Believe me, The Ramones are great, always have loved them... Maybe a remake wouldn't be too bad as long as they got a really good band that doesn't get too much publicity.

The Strokes would be fun to watch since they're another New York, Post-Punk revival band. However, I'd only be ok with it if it didn't ruin them as a band.

There is only one member left of the line-up in the movie. There is still Marky, Tommy, CJ, Richie, and Elvis.

The re-make, if one was ever made, should be done with Spinal Tap.

The map sez we're f--ked!

On July 31, 2008, it was announced that actor/writer Alex Winter had been hired to script a remake of the film for Howard Stern's production company.
