Do you like this movie?

Personally, I love it! Ok, it's a bad movie, the acting sucks and it's filled with goofs, but I don't care about those details (in fact, they make the movie funny), it's entertaining as hell, unintentionally hilarious and very gory!

Anyone else likes it?

i loved it too...it is great one...sooo bad but yet sooo good!

reply

Right on.

This film marks the equator between so bad it's good and so bad it's just plain bad.

While the acting and dialogue is hilariously bad there is some great gore and an upbeat pace that sidesteps the usual half hour long shots of inanimate objects that plague most z-grade cimematic trash.

Loved the cheezy synth music too.

Of course, we English speakers really don't know how bad the acting in Italian exploitation movies actually is, since it's all dubbed. But, given the budget, meaning very few if any retakes, we can assume the acting wasn't great in the first place. :)

I gave it four stars out of ten which is a good rating for this kind of movie. Fast-forwarded a lot of the talky scenes but enjoyed the gory stuff & full-frontal female nudity from the lead blonde actress!

geez its a low budget foreign zombie flick, what did you guys expect?

i love this movie, its a perfect horror movie to me, has this creepy atmosphere that hollywood never had or will have.

the only mistakes in this movie are that you dont really know what is going on, cos lots of things are left unanswered

I love it for what it is, a cheeky and "inspired" cash in on the Cannibal genre and Zombi 2.

For the way their put in a throw away "who are the real savages?" line. (And Alexandra Delli Colli looks all smug after she says it.)

The OTT heavy breathing (Zombi 2 style) that introduces the zombies.

For using actors, crew, sets and even footage from Zombi 2.(Making back to back movies FTW!)

The Porn style music when the main actress gets undressed.

The hilariously out of sync dubbing (Even for an Italian genre flick) when the black nurse screams on discovering the mutilated patient!

Dr. Obrero's wonderful lines...The patient's screaming disturbing me, performed removal of vocal chord - I could easily kill you now, but I'm determined to have your brain!

And so much more!

Hahaha... I love that part! Either they missed it or they just used that take out of laziness.

It is brilliant and endlessly re-watchable. Mad and bad, yes, but there is scarcely a dull minute in it.

Rap's Rambo! One man army, had it with your mumbo jumbo. Switching roles, now I'm Columbo.

definately liked this movie. watched it a couple more times and liked it even more. just a fun gore-filled movie with bad dialogue. i think this movie was dubbed. i like ian mcculloch who's done turns in zombi and contamination. one of the better films of the eighties. but than again i love splatter flicks especially the ones that came out of italy.

I love this movie! I've seen three versions, DOCTOR BUTCHER, M.D. (82 minutes), ZOMBI HOLOCAUST (Dutch-subtitled, 86 minutes) and the DVD print (84 minutes). I wish they had included the "deleted" scene in the DVD version. Besides the "arm falling off" scene, look at the scene where a cannibal gets a machete in his head. After being killed, he blinks! The funniest scene, and a great example of acting, is when Alexandra Delli Colli (the blonde) puts on a t-shirt after showering, then discovers a severed head on her bed. She screams, bringing everyone into her room. No one mentions the fact that the lower half of her body is nude! You have to be a serious actor to keep your eyes on the severed head instead of a half naked woman!

I just watched it, and didn't like it.

I love it! The crappy zombie make-up, the gore FX, stupid dialogue, Alexandra Delli Colli's T & A and Ian "Zombie Flesh-Eaters" McCulloch. It's one of my favourite Italian splatterfests.

Yeah, i thought it was a thrill ride, had some slightly off scenes when the acting went downhill and cheesy, but overall a classic horror movie from the early 80's.
