remade into a TV movie?

I caught this movie on digital cable this morning while getting ready for work. There's a line in it where Richard Harris makes a speach about how some guy gave him not just 1 apples, but 2, and he's also suprised by the fact that they are eating fish. This reminded me of some dialouge in a TV movie that came out in the 80's, cuz I could swear the exact same lines where said, but the TV movie took place on land instead of the desert.

The TV movie was advertised as being in the far future of the Mad Max movies, so I've got 2 questions here. 1. what TV movie am I thinking of and 2. was it a remake?

I believe you are thinking of the same movie "Ravagers". I remember the same thing. When ravagers was shown on tv back in the mid or early 80's it was advertised as "in the tradition of Mad Max and the road Warrior" and they made it seem like some kind of sequel to both movies.

Actually, "The Ravagers" (1979) predates the "Mad Max" series, and served as their model, especially in its hero who fights vicious roving bands of marauders in a post-nuclear apocalyptic world.
