Eastville Stadium.

There was a tantalising shot of Bristol Rovers' Eastville Stadium which is now an Ikea. However, the direction he was driving was away from Bristol towards what is now South Gloucestershire. I can only assume the character Robert was a football fan, came off the M32 and drove back the way he came to inspect the stadium. I presume the film was shot circa 1978, so the South Stand was still standing before it was destroyed by fire in 1980. Shortly after, he is driving over the long gone flyover while football results are read out. Both Rovers and Bristol City (1982)'s results are mentioned before the car radio is switched off.

I am not sure where he is by the kids' playground (1 hour 26 mins) with a high-speed train in the background. There is a gas works nearby and a pub which was difficult to see but appeared to read The George Inn. There was a George Inn in St Phillips, but with the gasworks in the background this could be Eastville and a pub that has since disappeared. Anyone know?
