Does anyone know the name of the band...

...playing in the club near the start of the film? All I learnt from the DVD commentary was that they'd won a competition to be in the film but soon disappeared (they do look very young).

The book "MOD" has the name as "The Sneakers"...

Was this the cover act playing the John Lee Hooker-esque covers?

I thought it sounded like Jim Morrison of the Doors. I searched the web for a Doors cover of
"Boom Boom" . No luck so far. I'll keep trying. Phil

The band was Cross Section, and the song they played was "Hi Heeled Sneakers". I'm trying to find anything else they did, they were fantastic and rockin'!
