I think it's very funny, really - or charming, rather. It's such a simple film but it works great and got me to wonder what one needs to make a good film.
9/10, IMO.

"Good, but not great"? Not great, but still very good: 9/10.
A simple idea/subject/setting, expertly, touchingly, charmingly and interestingly executed. And I just love Nino Rota's music, and I am glad that Fellini used him in all(?) most of his films. His music is like the Fellini trademark.
not all, due to Rota's death, but yes most of them. And this film was very simple and great, I didn't think I would enjoy it due to its difference in other works of Fellini, but it was very entertaining 8/10, comparing to fellini's past works, probably higher standing alone
