When I thnk of awful films inflicted on the filmgoing public ...

this film comes to mind.

Someone wrote up the short summary here at IMDB: "A rich student's fiancee has her face destroyed by a car accident, and refuses to return to him fearing the loss of his love. "

So, fearing the loss of your true love, a woman gives up her true love. Wow ... talk about coming up with a plan that ensures failure of what supposedly is important. The stupidity of the whole premise is almost poetic in its irony if it weren't just mindless drivel.

I don't think that description was written well. It was his mother that put the idea in her head that he would not accept her face after the accident and that the only way she could get a new face was if she was willing to take the mother's deal of paying for plastic surgery with the best surgeon in the country that she totally manipulated that situation and paid her off to stay away from him. Later when she sees the mother after 2 yrs she tells her off about her playing with people's lives like she does.
