This is the silliest comedy of the 'Prisoner of Zenda'

Down right dumby antics. Oddly enough the cast was odd.

Fascinating viewing...not only a chance to see Sellers at the very end of his career in one of his last films but also in a dual role which superbly showcases the depth of character he could play. Firstly theres the upperclass, silly twit of a king (typical over the top Sellers tomfoolery) and secondly (and best) the working class coachman character which he gives great feeling and humanity to, rather moving at times.

Sometimes Sellers could go too far with his characters, really overplay them but its sad that he was just starting to tone it all down and become more subtle and brillant (Being There ... great example), when he sadly died. We were robbed off some great performances Im sure would have been given in the 80s had this great man lived.
