good flick!

Man, I saw this flick at Houston's local reperatory (sp?) theater back when they played Altman films on a regular basis. And really liked this one.

And one of the singers in "Takin It To The Streets" is Houston musician Tommie Lee Bradley.. (one of the two girls "having a baby").. and she rocks!

and, don't know if it's available on dvd yet, if anyone's int. in getting it on vhs (or maybe they have it on dvd, don't know), I got mine at RTS Video

Pardon me for sounding like a grade school kid, but YOU LUCKY DUCK! You saw this on the big screen?

The band is actually Keepin' 'Em off the Streets.

I'm going to try the site you suggested. Thanks.

Yeah, twas a long time ago at this cool repoiratory (sp?) theater in Houston, TX (still there) called the River Oaks Theater.

I really liked the flick, got in on vhs, and twas specially interested as Tommie Lee Bradley is either from or definitely performed in the Houston music scene back then.

Not to rub it in or anything, but they showed A Perfect Couple with A Wedding and Dooley did a q and a in between. Altman's wife was in the audience too. This was last week in Santa Monica.

Wedding was great. A Perfect Couple was too long. I couldn't stand the band. bleh.

Dictated, but not read.

Beware, the DVD's picture quiality is just awful. Fox did a lousy job on it.

I just finished watching the Fox DVD of Perfect Couple. I must say that some of the DVD is so grainy it's as if the celluloid they transferred it from was locked away in a dusty old basement somewhere in Fox laboratories. I do treasure this film because it was Altman's light-hearted attempt (after the cold world of Quintet) to get back to doing what he is best at. Comedies about people. I hope you agree.
