For those interested, the 'Xenon' dvd is the edition to get. "Penitentiary" has been restored, original aspect ratio, sharp picture and bright, saturated colors. It even includes director's commentary track. I'm not sure about the other dvd's out there, but they seem to be inferior to this one..
