Ok folks...when i was a kid and my dad would take me to the video store on a saturday night,id look through alot of movies and wonder which one i would watch..and i always came across this movie and was always out on loan..so i was wondering if this film is any good and is it available to buy? i dont think its been on the telly at all and think it maybe a forgotton movie...

I just watched it for the first time, it's pretty good. If you like 70's gritty exploitation/blaxploitation stuff, definitely check it out. Some good acting, some funny characters, and cool fighting scenes.

Is it good? "Penitentiary" is actually one the BEST prison films of all time. And it has become available to buy. Xenon has released a very good dvd. Seriously, this is a classic..
