A great film.

I think this is a great film. It had humour, and horror, everything mixed in, with a great soundtrack, and great acting. Sad that two actors, Graham Kennedy and the one who played "Bung" has since died, the latter died of Aids.

Nevertheless, its a great film and one I would certainly recomend to people.

I mean its low budget, but normally you can tell, however you can't tell as much with this film.

Vicky Pollard: Anyway don't listen to her coz everyone knows her fanny goes sideways.

That was John Hargreaves, the "quintessial Aussie bloke" who ironically turned out to be gay !

A Melbourne "shock jock" Derren Hinch, in very poor taste and about a week after Graham Kennedy died , broadcast that he (Kennedy) was gay and had died of AIDS. Kennedy was most probably gay but the AIDS bit is unproven/unproveable/unlikely.

More a reflection on Hinch than on Kennedy who was well-loved and highly respected in Australia whatever his private life may have been.

I saw this recently & would recommend it to anyone who appreciates intelligent well-written films. If you`re expecting something along the scale of Platoon,Full Metal Jacket or Hamburger Hill(all worthy in their own right)then you might be disappointed. It`s decidedly low-budget & contains very few action sequences as such-relying more on strong characterization. Most of the cast ,apart from Bryan Brown, will be unknown outside Oz but they carry it off admirably-worth tracking down the Aussie R4 DVD.
