blarney stone to home plate....

why didnt susan clark recieve top billing alongside edward herrmann? she had more scenes and more lines than many of the other supporting actresses in this film, why was she placed 4th or 5th? it was only a few years before her immortal role as Cherry Forever in Porky's, and only a few years shy of being emmanuel lewis' mom in tv's Webster. everyone in the movie is pretty good, even bruno the slobbering st. bernard gets a chance to shine in this enjoyable disney caper--swarming with car chases, pile-ups, and the usual dose of cute sight gags. based on a true story!

A true Story? I never knew that. Are you positive?

reply

Well it is based on a true story, if you check the credits you find there was a real Reverend Hill and he really did fight gambling.

But I don't know that the story of the movie matches exactly to his work.

This was based on a true story reported by LOOK magazine and a book by the same name published in 1968.
