Love the incidental music score !

I absolutely love the 70's incidental music in this film.I think it's beautifull and very well suited to the film themes.I was wondering was there a soundtrack for this film that had this music on it.I know this sort of music was used a lot around the late 70's.I need to find out more about this.

Saw it for the first time last night and I too liked the score. In fact I thought the whole film was pretty good.

reply

Yes I noticed that it was on last night

The score was by Henry Mancini, an iconic, mutiple Academy Award winner for his scores such as "Breakfast At Tiffany's" and the Pink Panther films.

The title track from NIGHTWING is available on two Mancini compilations, "Mancini In Surround" and "Mancini's Monster Hits". Information about both releases is here: http://www.soundtrackcollector.com/catalog/soundtrackdetail.php?movieid=26127

Unfortunately, a complete score CD has never been released for this title.

Cheers!

Too late - it's already sold out. It's a web exclusive... you may still be able to get a copy at

or

I suggest you act fast or you may not be able to purchase one.

reply

I bought...well, let's just say I bought a lot.

I missed out well maybe they might re-issue at some point since it sold pretty well

reply

Unfortunately that's not how it works with the Club releases - usually once they are sold out that's it - perhaps Jack Morrisey will be kind enough to sell you one of the many copies he purchased at a not-too-inflated price?

reply

Yes I might try and buy a copy from him meanwhile perhaps someone might upload the main theme onto Youtube oh someone already has nice.
