where's the bluray at?

I waited patiently for years for the dvd and now I'm waiting patiently for the bluray. It's about time someone released it. MPI or Anchor Bay where are you guys at?

I'm in complete agreement with you (especially if it's the full uncut version).

reply

Absolutely.

Putting this onto Blu Ray is unlikely to improve the picture quality on a film this old. You might as well stick to the DVD version.

reply

Disagree with your comment completely. Many older films have been resurrected to Blu-ray and become stunning visual entertainment. Alas however, this film is not even in the planning stages for a hi-rez release.

The age alone has nothing to do with it. Ever seen Lawrence of Arabia or 2001: A Space Odyssey on blu-ray?
Good-quality film can easily be scanned to UHD levels of resolution and look fantastic.

It was just released last month by Kino Lorber. It's been reported that the picture and audio quality aren't great.

reply

Well that's disappointing.
