DVD release???

I had heard years ago that this was a pretty powerful film, and have been curious to see it since; however I have no record of any sort of DVD release here (or even VHS, for that matter...). Not only that but I live in Los Angeles, a pretty major city, and none of the specialty video stores around here seem to carry it (which you'd figure--or at least hope for--considering that this is supposed to be the heart of the darn film industry; granted, I realize that this is not an American release and there's obviously a lot of great films that we and other countries may not get the privilege of seeing due to limited international distribution and all, but still...).

So I'm wondering: how were YOU guys able to see it? Were you just among the lucky few who were able to catch it in a Canadian theater upon its original release?? Why has it remained so under-the-radar, and in limited release??

Really wish I could find a copy online, at the very least...

:) I'm from Québec, where it was filmed, and I have my copy (for university studies). You can view the complete film online at Canada ONF website, probably as the original title : Mourir à tue-tête, instand of Scream from silence. There are no subtitles, though.

Wait. It seems that it was removed from the director's list. Here is the original link.

Chances are it will be updated again.
I think it was too harsh to be free online.
It's the most devastating movie I have seen.

Thank you for the link!! TBT, I actually learned that the amazing Scarecrow Video in Seattle (near the Canadian border, so maybe someone crossed over, bought a copy, and brought it back) has a copy for rent as well... so maybe some enterprising/crafty/opportunistic sort will rent and share it, who knows. Still, I am just surprised as to why a film that affected people so strongly would be so hard to track down-- you'd figure curiosity alone would create more of a demand (for better or for worse...).
