Bond vs. Jaws= Roadrunner vs. Wile E. Coyote

MOONRAKER seems like a live action cartoon, reminiscent of Looney Tunes, especially the Roadrunner cartoons. Jaws (aka Wile E Coyote) spends most of the movie chasing after James Bond (Roadrunner). But Jaws always fails. Additionally, Jaws' "acme products" continually fail him, and he winds up in one horrible predicament after another. But does not die.

In one scene, Jaws chases Bond in midair. Bond is wearing a parachute. Jaws' parachute fails to open (Acme product). Bond escapes leaving Jaws in midair. He then falls onto a circus tent, causing it to collapse.

In another scene, Jaws is chasing Bond down the Rio cable car (Acme product). Bond jumps off. Jaws in cable car speeds head-on into the cable car station. The entire station is destroyed!! Jaws gets up and walks away (with the help from his new girlfriend!!)

In another scene, Jaws is chasing Bond's boat down the river. Huge waterfall approaches, and Bond escapes in a hang glider. Jaws breaks off the wheel of his boat (Acme product). Jaws and boat go down the waterfall. Later on a wet Jaws is seen at Drax's hideout.

etc. etc. etc.

Total Looney Tunes cartoon madness within the world of 007!!

great points, this is by critics considered the most ridiculous bond movie, saying bond has turned into a comic strip in space, and they have jaws returning by popular demand and the kids wanting him to turn into a good guy, by the way, the bond movie after this was suppose to be made after the spy who loved me but they went with this because of the popularity of star wars going on at the time, so i guess the message at the end credits "james bond will return in for your eyes only" actually appears in two movies, funny how the following flick is described as moore's most serious bond flick after what's considered the most cartoonish like, i find that the least entertaining and a bit dry, they actually don't spend all that much of this movie in space, but overall i've never seen a bond movie shot so much in the dark, darkness of space and on earth at night time, many think the shot of the moon is painted on but it isn't, also notice the product placement, i don't recall seeing much product placement in bond, but notice the huge 7up sign exactly about an hour into the running time. actually this doesn't feel as rich and impactfull as the other bond flicks, the soundtrack is pretty limited, the cast pale, the locations, overall it feels the most light of moore and connery movies.

on curvy clouds in blue sky drifted off,
my mind on your bosom big and soft,
dropped at sea lost on waves of your forms,
to your island by wind you blew me ashore,
a sandcastle for you i built,
where you reign as queen of my dreams.

Jaws even flaps his arms as he's falling without a chute as if trying to fly.

dropping the big lump of stone on his own foot and it making that big crunching sound in the previous film was also cartoonish

hehe. this has like the dullest of everything, the bond palest bond girls, and the main girl (holly goodhead) is so angry and off putting, bond even refers to her as chilly at one scene, not as chilly as the girls in the amazonas though, the villain is pale, and he has the most annoying hench man who gets a jolly speeding up the centrifuge, goodness it felt good when bond threw him crashing out the window. this is the last appearance of the original m actor, and what a funny exchange with q "balls, q?", and bond's line "i fell out of an airplane" and moneypenny just laughs was funny, speaking of that airplane bit, the stuntman looked nothing like jaws, by the way, bit odd how jaws is in the opening sequence then doesn't appear until almost an hour in. the soundtrack to this is the only one not including the famous bond theme, on every album up to 1985 anyway, i don't care about the bond franchise after the moore connery era, already the 1980s bonds seem to lose some flair, someone commented they looked like tv movies, they certainly became more violent, they should never have let john glen direct. this is the only bond i've seen advertisement in, i heard it happens in the modern ones. the boat scene in venice was odd and fun, and when bond is flirting with the male nurse. this is the second time in the franchise someone has ended up between a females teeth in a billboard, the other being "from russia with love", they picked someone with great choppers too, not as great as cnn's rosemary church, but certainly much lovelier than jaws. i had just seen dr. no before this, you can imagine what a switch it was to this 007 in space. pardon my english, it's not my first language.

when the moon is out,
you come around,
and outshine with your stunning light,
soul surfin on your fair rays,
though spring night feel like hot summer day,
groovy colours you left on the stars,
after you walk off.
