Not just the worst Bond movie

but also the worst movie of all time. Roger Moore is too geriatric, I think he might have died on the movie set and been revived or his son stepped in to finish the movie. The villain is a parody of a Bond villain, the whole idea that somebody could build a space station that nobody realized was a threat is ridiculous. But the worst of all, the thing which absolutely ruins the movie is the "Jaws" romance with the pigtailed girlie. If you see this movie, you will lose 10 IQ points. You have been warned.

Just off the top of my head, Glen or Glenda and Manos: The Hands of Fate are both much worse.

Just something funny and interesting I learned recently. Manos kind of means Hand. So technically... Manos: Hands of Fate is really called Hand: Hands of Fate.

Just one more thing to love about that ol' crap-fest. LOL..

Treasure of the Four Crowns [1983] was pretty bad. Even being in 3D at the time. And they only find three crowns, WTH.

According to RottenTomatoes, Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever is the worst movie of all time.

As for this movie, it's down at the bottom of the pile, but A View to a Kill, Live and Let Die, Die Another Day, and Quantum of Solace are in the pile with it.

Does no one remember how bad "The World Is Not Enough" was? At least "Moonraker" is watchable and entertaining, and, as stupid as the villain's plot is, at least his goals are consistent. You try to explain to me what that woman is trying to do in TWINE.

The bitch was trying to pollute Bosbor with nuclear fallout so no oil could be shipped through it and her "Elektra-pipeline" would dominate the business. Rather lame if compared breeding your own master race in space with a ample stash of champagne.

QoS is dreary and ultimately, pointless at the end. It is ineptly directed and appallingly edited. Not to mention it's godawful, all-time worst Bond theme song. It's too bad because Craig is pretty decent in the film, probably the best thing about it.

Moonraker is at least competently made even if you don't care for the silliness. Plus, John Barry's score for the film is better than all of QoS.

I would add "Live and Let Die" and "A View to a Kill" to that list. I re-watched QoS recently, and had to re-evaluate my earlier opinion. I think they went overboard on the action. Part of the Bond attraction is the dialogue, and that was lacking in QoS, but it was not a bad film.

In the universe of Bond films only Moonraker is 7/10. If about 3 minutes worth of atrocious humor were cut, and about 5 minutes of the space sequences done less stupidly, then this is a solid 9/10. The chuteless skydiving intro is the best among all Bond films.

Nonsense! I LIKE Moonraker... when nobody else is looking. :P Also, I would not show it to an uninitiated viewer as an introduction to 007. But once they are officially fans, I'd gladly watch it with them.

In short: It's a guilty pleasure that I watch A LOT!

The worst 007 movie? Quantum Of Solace... In fact that's the ONLY Bond film I absolutely hate.

Agreed. And then there's the topsy turvy way the action was shot. I don't understand spending millions on an action sequence only to shoot/edit it so poorly that the audience can barely make out what's happening. I remember during the opening car chase, I suddenly noticed the diver's side door was gone and had somehow missed HOW it happened. I turned to my date and asked, "When did he lose his door?" Her response was, "I have no idea."

IMO , AVTAK was better than LALD , TMWTGG , MR , QoS & the Brosnans (cept GoldenEye , that was good)....is is perfect , heavens no , it's def underrated though.

Truck bumper slammed into the door and it hooked it. Bond swerved the car and the door was pulled off. Stop talking to your girlfriend and watch the dang movie.

Agree wholeheartedly. Moonraker is a great watch, even after all these years.

Ridiculous? Yes. But great fun, locations, villain and fight scenes. Great one-liners: "Too bad Mr Bond. You missed", "Did I?"...

"Any higher Mr Bond and my ears will pop".

"Vasser, not NASA"

Great evil quote: "See that some harm comes to him".

You also get Jaws AND Jaws falling in love!

Best bond girl in Dr Goodhead. Educated, good, thoughtful and hot.

You also got the awe of going into space, which very few films truly managed (Apollo 13 one of the few to beat it). And the soundtrack is amazing; possibly best from a Bond film.

And name any other film with a double take from a pigeon? Of course it's not 'great' in the Godfather sense, but GREAT fun.
