Those are top 25 Movie Shots in New York City but they list some pretty great films overall that obviously take place in NYC.

I for one loved Breakfast at Tiffany's as well as a few others :).

Pretty much anything by Spike Lee, but especially 25th Hour (2002) starring Edward Norton is a great movie about NY.

Here are a few others set in NY that I highly recommend:

Wall Street 2 - Money Never Sleeps (2010)

Finding Forrester (2000)

American Psycho (2000)

Meet Joe Black (1998)

Donnie Brasco (1997)

The Warriors (1979)

Some older films:
THE RAT RACE (Debbie Reynolds & Tony Curtis, but Don Rickles steals the show as a sweaty, evil show biz type)
SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS
THE YOUNG SAVAGES (WEST SIDE STORY without the music; Irish vs. Puerto Rican gangs and a frightening scene when Dina Merrill is attacked on a subway by vicious gangbangers)
ODD AGAINST TOMORROW (A caper flick abetted by a throbbing jazz score by John Lewis and intense performances from Robert Ryan and Harry Belafonte; lotsa shots of no-longer-there NYC)
NAKED CITY (one of the first commercial films shot entirely in NYC; dated narration but the chase across the Williamsburg Bridge is still exciting. And look fast to see the likes of John Randolph, Molly Picon, David Opatoshou, Arthur O'Connell, James Gregory, Tom Pedi, Kathleen Freeman and Paul Ford.
THE LOST WEEKEND (first flick to study alcoholism as an illness; mostly shot on Hollywood soundstages, but a 10-minute sequence has Ray Milland walking north on the real Third Avenue desperately seeking a pawnshop to dispose of his typewriter)

"We're fighting for this woman's honor, which is more than she ever did."

Yeah, like someone above mentioned, you should watch Scorsese's movies. Those movies actually made me a fan of NY movies! You should also watch Bringing Out The Dead, it's a great NY Scorsese movie.

Another great movie you should see is Midnight Cowboy! Also, another movie I'm thinking of is The American Friend.
