The title of this movie "Malibu High" is so misleading. It should have been called
"Bad Girl".

Yeah, "Bad Girl" is a much better and more appropriate title for this rough and nasty little sleaze gem. Moreover, I'm so happy that this scuzzy hoot finally came out on DVD on a nifty doublebill with the equally trashy "Trip With the Teacher."
I enjoy keeping busy. Satan finds work for idle hands.

Well, there are some scenes in a high school, and the final scene looks like the south end of Zuma Beach, which is in the Malibu area.
What I think is incredibly misleading is the poster for the movie, which is visible from the IMDB main page for Malibu High. It looks more appropriate for a light-hearted teen sex comedy.
The title and the poster totally threw me off while I was watching the movie.
shareEarlier pre-release titles for this film were "Death in Denim," "High School Hit Girl," and "Lovely But Deadly," all of which would have been much better and more appropriate than the deceptively innocuous-sounding "Malibu High."
"We're all part Shatner/And part James Dean/Part Warren Oates/And Steven McQueen"
Also, the girl in the poster is NOT the lovely Miss Lansing. No doubt she's cute, but it's not even the same person!
shareGood point about the poster. So many of these grindhouse titles just seem random and generic, which is unfortunate because the films have a lot more punch than the title.

The girl in the poster is Mary-Margaret Humes before she became famous.
