A cute Barbra movie...

I thought this movie was cute. Barbra and Ryan had good comedic chemistry and his girlfriend who's coughing all the time was hilarious. Barbra is a very funny lady and I enjoyed this movie.

I totally agree with you both and on both counts. This movie and the leads are both adorable, they have great chemistry in this movie as well as What's Up Doc?
And it's a great Babs song :)

Funny, when I saw it twice in the theatre back in '79, nobody booed the ending. In response to the poster who commented, I find that hard to believe. After all it was billed as a LOVE story, how did they think it would end? No spoilers.....

reply

Yeah, I think that's BS, too...It wouldn't make any sense for this to be booed. Me thinks someone is lying ;-)

Between '75 to '80 is what I refer to as Babs' "afro" period. I loved that hairstyle. It really did something for her.

Haha, really? I'm a huge fan, but I don't think it flattered her features...there are definitely exceptions, but I think I prefer...any other hairstyle, really.

He said it's all in your head, and I said, so's everything--
But he didnt get it.

There was a scene in "A Star Is Born" where Babs looked just like Big Bird.
