Toecutter had the train manager killed, not spared.

The blowing signals the thugs to remove him like lint.

Hmm? It’s been a while since I’ve seen the film, but I could of swore that you see the station master once again following this scene. I believe it was the scene where Toecutter’s gang are racing up and down the main street of the same town, and possibly the exact scene where the man was being dragged behind a motorcycle. It was right around this point where you see the station master as an onlooker on one of the businesses boardwalks.

But again, it has been some time since I’ve seen the movie, so I’m totally going from memory here, and I no longer have a copy to confirm it with.

Good eye if so. Never noticed. Would take away believability of toecutter character.

Watched it tonight. Station guy survives but I believe it's a mistake by the director. Toecutter would have had him killed for sure and that's what the blowing away gesture was for.

Toecutter is an enigma and his methods are a great mystery to us mere mortals. His divine judgement should never be questioned, only accepted as part of his bigger plan for the universe.

Toecutter is dripping down the front of a truck sonny. His path is that of a windshield wiper.

Are you doubting that his "demise" is part of his plan? Fool.

he liked his philosophy he wasn't intending to kill him but they made it seem to the audience like he would be killed. it was to suprise the audience.
