The bulldozer tractor trailor scene

It felt like the film makers forgot to pause (or cut!) during this part as Max is trying to pass the tractor-trailor and gets frustrated. The driver motions Max to pass him. It felt like Max was going to be ambushed but....NOTHING HAPPENS. I know that it indictates that there is a "forbidden zone"beyond, but it feels like they ran into road construction and forgot to stop filming.

I don't think there was anything really missing from the sequence, I've always liked it.

If nothing else it showed that the truckers appreciate the bronze, probably the only thing stopping them from being constantly relieved of their loads and botted by bandits.

...then whoa, differences...

hmm, maybe a shot of the bikers watching max go past after he's overtaken the truck would have given more build up to the ending, which is often criticized for being too quick and lacking punch.
