Well, due to the subject matter, the strange incestous relationship between mother and son, it might never get a legitimate release in the States. Other films have dealt with this subject before, but not in such a way where the suggested incest is pretty much accepted. Also the stuff about the mom obtaining heroin for her son, and later masturbating him in an effort to provide some relief from the pain of heroin withdrawal. It is probably just too much for a country that is still so uncomfortable with sexuality. There is no need to wait for this to be released in the US anyway. There is an excellent dvd from Germany, anamorphic widescreen, and totally uncut. Try ebay, and screw the American censors.
